The Eternals actor Barry Keoghan ‘hospitalised and left with facial injuries after attack in Galway’
Barry Keoghan has reportedly been hospitalised and left with facial injuries after being a victim of assault in Galway, Ireland.
The Irish actor, 28, who is set to star as Druig in the upcoming Marvel film Eternals, was said to have been found outside the G Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He was then taken by ambulance to Galway University Hospital for treatment for his facial injuries before later being released.

A spokesperson for the Gardai (the state police force of the Republic of Ireland) told Irish newspaper Sunday World: ‘Gardaí did attend an incident at a hotel in the Wellpark area of Galway City on Sunday August 15, 2021 after 3.30am.
‘An ambulance was also called and a man in his 20s was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.’
It is reported that Gardai were alerted to the attack when Barry, who was said to have earlier been spotted at the MP Walsh bar in Galway city centre, was found walking outside the hotel.
It is understood that the actor, who has starred in films including The Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dunkirk, has not pressed charges over the attack.

MailOnline have contacted Barry’s representative’s for comment.
The attack comes days after Barry shared his excitement for the upcoming Eternals film on social media, writing ‘Gwan the lads’ alongside a poster of the movie.
The Eternals was created by Jack Kirby in the 1970s, when he returned to Marvel after briefly working for rival DC.
The Eternals are humanoid aliens from the planet Olympia and are genetically engineered by the godlike Celestials.
They are sent to earth by the Celestials to fight against the evil Deviants and defend humanity.

In May the first full-length trailer and poster for the Marvel Entertainment movie Eternals was shared.
The cast was seen in the riveting clip as The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers, are seen approaching a beach in their space ship.
Star Angelina Jolie is spotted several times with her long blonde hair, gold headpiece and various outfits and her co-star Salma Hayek also makes an appearance as she explains in voiceover that her people have always looked after those on Earth but only now are ‘interfering.’

The plot is about the beings – who are often mistaken for the gods of human mythology – that have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years but make themselves know as they battle the evil Deviants.
This is the first movie from Oscar-winning director Zhao since winning Best Picture and Best Director for Nomadland this year.
The cast includes Gemma Chan (Sersi), with Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee, as well as Game of Thrones vets Richard Madden and Kit Harington.
The film will be released in November 2021 after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
