‘You’ve got to take it – talk is cheap’: Roy Keane says England must seize their Euros chance ahead of Germany clash as draw opens up with France crashing out … and Gary Neville insists Gareth Southgate’s side will ‘NEVER have a better moment’
Roy Keane has challenged England to take advantage of the circumstances in their favour and beat Germany to launch a major challenge at Euro 2020 glory.
Gareth Southgate’s men played all three group matches at Wembley and host Germany on home turf on Tuesday night for a place in the quarter finals.
With Wembley also hosting the semi finals and the final, and the tournament looking more open by the day as big teams crash out, Keane has called on England to seize the moment.

The Three Lions face Germany at Wembley on Tuesday night looking to make the quarter finals
‘The way it’s opened up the last one or two days, if you’re Gareth and the England players – home matches in the group and potential home advantage over the next few weeks, great opportunity for England,’ Keane told ITV Sport.
‘But you’ve got to take it – talk is cheap.
‘They might not get this opportunity again. I know there’s plenty of sayings in sport, but for the England players tomorrow night it’s about playing the game not the occasion.
‘Just focus on the game, and they’ve got more than enough to beat that German team.’
France crashed out of the tournament to make the draw look every more open for those still in
The winner of Tuesday’s massive clash will face either Sweden or Ukraine in Rome in the last eight, with whoever comes out on top in that section earning themselves a semi final with Denmark or the Czech Republic.
Gary Neville is adamant that England will not be let down by a lack of application or desire against Germany, and that the match will come down to calmness in the big moments.
‘I’ve been knocked out of many tournaments to big teams, where we’ve had urgency, intensity, fight, commitment – all those things, English players will always have that,’ Neville said.
Gary Neville believes Gareth Southgate’s side will never get a better chance to win the Euros
‘But we’ve not had that moment of quality or thought of how to win that big game.
‘Honestly, they got to a World Cup semi-final and we were in that studio and I said ‘I hope those players get an opportunity to be there again.’
‘I genuinely think they’ve got a chance, and I’ve not thought that in the past. I think the manager, the players – they are together, they know how to win games in tournaments, they’ve done it before.
‘There’s a pathway opening up for them again, which is a little bit of good fortune. They’re never going to have a better moment than now those players. Never.’
