Euro 2024 squad deadline day: When Gareth Southgate and Co will have to submit their final squad lists for Germany this summer

The countdown for Euro 2024 is well and truly on as the final pieces of the puzzle are being put together.

As excitement builds for the tournament you may find yourself trying to look to see which of your favourite footballers will be playing for their country in Germany this summer.

However upon further investigation you might find that not many managers have submitted their finalised squads for Euro 2024. 

Although last months March friendlies gave a slight glimpse into the squads we may expect to see from the teams involved in Euro 2024, fans are still waiting for the final confirmation. 

So when will the Euro 2024 squads be announced? Here is everything you need to know.

Managers must submit their finalised squads seven days before the opening game of the  competition between Germany and Scotland per UEFA’s regulations 

Some managers however didn’t need the deadline and have already confirmed their squads, Host’s Germany are one of those teams alongside France and the Netherlands

With the 17th edition of Euro 2024 tee’d up to get underway on Friday, June 14 when hosts Germany play Scotland at the Allianz Arena, the final squad announcements are imminent. 

UEFA have confirmed that Friday, June 7 is the deadline day for teams to register their final squads.

UEFA regulations state that final squads must be registered seven days before the beginning of the European Championship.

However UEFA’s rule also states that injured players can be replaced at any point before the opening match of the tournament.

Gareth Southgate and his team have till June 7 to decide the 26-man squad they will take to Germany with them for Euro 2024

This is good news for both England and Scotland as the two British sides will be in action just two hours before the deadline is due.
