Traveling is like a rush of adrenaline. You stop in a city for a few days and move from one site to another without ever stopping to really appreciate everything that is in front of your eyes. Otherwise, you will never have enough time to visit the most important locations.

If you have never tried living abroad for a few months or even a few years, you should think about doing so, in one of the cities below, to really appreciate all that they have to offer.

Munich

Germany is known for its work ethic, and you will certainly find that in Munich.

But once you settle in, you will also discover something else that you may not have expected: Peace of mind. This city is certainly not a small one, but you can live in it almost as if you were residing in a village.

This provides you with the possibility of doing all the activities that you would in capital cities, yet finding yourself far away from the stress and anxiety that they normally bring to their citizens.

If you are not willing to lose the advantages of the big city but could use a smoother way of life, Munich is the perfect city for you. If you are interested in moving from another town, look into removals to Munich services.

Lyon

How would you like to live like a bourgeois? That could be fun for a while, no?

If that is the case, then Lyon is definitely the city you should head to. Caught between two rivers, it is an isolated world, far away from the busy streets of Paris, and much more kept to itself than Marseille, in the south.

Doing your shopping in classy boutiques, and sharing your life with people who like to enjoy theirs at a higher level, you will learn how it feels to be a part of the bourgeoisie. Then again, you will need to stay sufficiently long enough, in order to be accepted.

The food is to die for (literally, with all the fat that you find in it).

If you recognize yourself in Lyon, you will most certainly never leave.

Rome

If you would love to live in Italy, but need to hear English every day around you, head to Rome.

Just about any day of the year, in its busy streets, you will hear more English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and other foreign languages than Italian, spoken. But don’t be mistaken. Roman is as Roman as can be.

As soon as you move into secondary streets, or that you visit markets, you will find them and their joyful yet sarcastic humor. In other words, perfect for Brits! You could spend years in Rome and still have so much left to see.

But there is more than just the city. You find yourself at the center of the world, so you will need to leave the capital and visit the whole Lazio region and its wonderful treasures.

Other cities that you should keep in mind for longer stays are Copenhagen (Denmark) for the friendliest people, Barcelona (Spain) for its internationalism, and Berlin (Germany) to meet lots of new and exciting people.
