A European expat living in Australia has praised the ‘stress-free’ lifestyle and work culture.
Saar, from Belgium, is currently working two jobs in Port Macquarie and claims she can show up to one ‘whenever’ suits her.
In a TikTok video the traveller said: ‘I love Australia sooo much. I get it now, I get why people go here to do the work and travel thing, because working here is so f***ing chill.’
Saar admitted she’s not sure if this laid-back attitude at work is the same across the country, but she described both jobs as ‘so chill’.

‘I love Australia sooo much. I get it now, I get why people go here to do the work and travel thing, because working here is so f***ing chill,’ Saar said in a TikTok video
‘For example, with my second job, I can’t be there at the time they want me to because of my first job,’ she said in the clip.
‘And they’re just like ‘Yeah come in whenever, if you are ready with your first job then you can just come in, it’s fine’.’
She went on to compare the relaxed attitude Down Under to the work culture in Belgium.
‘In Belgium if you can’t be on time for your job, you will no longer have a job,’ Saar said.
‘So thank you Australia for showing me that life can be fun and not stressful. I really love it here.’

Within 48 hours the video was viewed more than 80,000 times, and some Aussies shared their opinion on the topic.
‘Definitely not Australia thing it’s just the type of job in the location,’ one person wrote.
Another said: ‘That’s defo a regional thing lol good stuff.’
‘I’m Australian and am grateful how lucky I am to be living in this country,’ a third said.
