Eurovision Song Contest 2024: Iconic British actress is announced as the UK jury spokesperson

Joanna Lumley was on Friday announced as the UK Jury Spokesperson for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

On BBC’s The One Show, Graham Norton announced that the actress, 78, will be joining the BBC Eurovision family.

She will deliver the results of the UK’s National Jury live during the Grand Final on Saturday, 11 May 2024.

A long-time fan of Eurovision, Joanna said of her new position: ‘Good Evening Malmö, it’s Joanna here! 

‘I am delighted to be announcing the jury vote for the UK at this year’s Eurovision. It’s such a fabulous honour to give the iconic ‘douze points’!’

And Joanna has come full-circle with this role as Patsy famously rubbed shoulders with UK Eurovision legend Lulu.

The UK offering this year is Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander, who swung by EastEnders to build excitement for the gig.
