Eva Mendes shared her approval of her long-time partner Ryan Gosling’s Saturday Night Live sketch Can’t Tonight by posting a clip of the segment on her Instagram account on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old performer, who hosted last week’s episode of the program, stated that a ‘Cuban wife can change you’ during the segment and referred to himself as a ‘Cuban papi,’ despite being from Tennessee.
The 50-year-old actress – whose brother recently complimented her parenting skills – went on to pen a short message in her post’s caption to let her fans know that her ‘Cuban Papi made this Cuban Mami so happy with this!!’
Mendes then surmised that Gosling’s countless ‘years of hanging out with my Dad paid off.’
She also praised the work of her partner’s costars, Marcello Hernandez and Kenan Thompson and wrote that she could not ‘wait for this trio’s next reunion.’

The actress and her partner initially met while working on the 2012 feature The Place Beyond The Pines.
Gosling was formerly linked to Sandra Bullock and Rachel McAdams, with whom he costarred in Murder By Numbers and The Notebook, respectively.
He eventually moved on with Mendes, whom he officially began dating in 2011, prior to the release of their movie.
The happy couple went on to start a family with the birth of their first daughter Esmeralda, nine, which took place in 2014.
Gosling and Mendes subsequently welcomed a second daughter named Amada, seven, two years later.
A source recently spoke to People and told the media outlet that the couple’s main priority was the well-being of their children.
‘For them, the most important job is their girls. Everything else comes second. And their girls are thriving,’ they said.
