Everton consider a move to bring former Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi to the club as the Toffees look to rebuild following back-to-back relegation scares
- Everton are considering offering ex-Arsenal chief Raul Sanehli a role at the club

Raul Sanllehi, the former Arsenal head of football and Barcelona director of football is being looked at over a potential role at Everton.
Sanllehi spent close to three years at the Emirates as part of the attempt to rebuild following Arsene Wenger’s departure after more than two decades at the club.
The 56-year-old made headlines in September when he expressed concerns that Arsenal had made a ‘mistake’ by allowing Mikel Arteta to manage the same amount of responsibilities Wegner had during his spell at the club.
‘I do not agree when clubs call the first-team coach “the manager”,’ Sanllehi told The Athletic last year.
‘First-team coach is first-team coach, that is enough. Nowadays, the workload is overwhelming, and I need him to concentrate on the first team.

Sanllehi previously expressed concerns that Mikel Arteta’s all-controlling role at the Gunners could prove harmful
‘They have betrayed the model a little bit now. By going back to the manager at the top, that is a mistake, but that is their mistake.
‘I would have not allowed that to happen. But that’s fine, it is working so far for them.’
After leaving the Gunners in 2020, Sanllehi returned to his native spain and currently occupies the role of director general for La Liga side Real Zaragoza.
Sanllehi has admirers on Merseyside – but it remains to be seen if he would make the switch if offered a role.
The Toffees find themselves heading into the upcoming campaign in desperate need of a revamp after successive seasons fighting to maintain their place in the Premier League.
Taking charge with the club having won just one of their last eight Premier League games, Frank Lampard managed to steer the club away from relegation in 2021-22 before being sacked in January of this year with the club languishing inside the drop zone.
After replacing Lampard, Sean Dyche managed to secure survival on the final day of the season with victory of Bournemouth, condemning Leicester to relegation and maintaining the club’s top flight status by the narrowest of margins.
