‘It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.’
Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi said in a statement: ‘We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
‘We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.
‘We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.’
Mozzi made his first official public appearance with Beatrice in March at the National Portrait Gallery gala, where they were joined by the Duchess of Cambridge.
Since then, the couple have been spotted together several times.
While Beatrice and Edo have yet to share any details about their upcoming wedding, there’s a decent chance that the couple could follow in the footsteps of Eugenie’s parents and walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey.
Current odds from bookmaker Ladbrokes suggest that a spring 2020 Westminster Abbey wedding could have odds as low as 2/1.
St George’s Chapel, where Eugenie tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank in October 2018, has odds of 5/1.
