Fans were left in stitches after Will Young bizarrely decided to name his and Jessie Wynter’s baby after a dead sheep.

While Ron Hall also came under fire from fans after he called Lana Jenkin’s parenting skills ‘unattractive’ during the fan-favourite challenge.

Though the episode had its fair-share of amusing moments, tears were also shed as Tom Clare was left upset after his pal Casey O’Gorman was dumped from the villa.

With the grand finale less than a week away, here’s everything you missed from episode 51.

WILL NAMES HIS BABY AFTER A DEAD SHEEP

Fans were left in hysterics after Will decided to named his baby after a dead sheep during the amusing challenge.

The Islanders were woken by the sound of screaming electronic baby dolls and were tasked with looking after the babies to pass the real relationship test of becoming parents for the day.

Their first job was to name their offspring, with Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan naming theirs Bruno after footballer Bruno Fernandez.

Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga named their baby after themselves and Tanya’s mother, opting for Shanya Polite.

Ron and Lana chose a combination of their two favourite names Adie and Annabella, making Addibella.

Samie Elishi and Tom went the same route as Shaq and Tanya, naming their baby after themselves with Tammie.

But it was Will and Jessie’s choice of moniker that had viewers at home raising their eyebrows.

Will decided to call their baby boy Rufus, declaring it was after a sheep he had had on his farm who had passed away.

He said: ‘It’s Rufus Lamby Wynter-Young. Rufus comes from a pet sheep I had on the farm.’

While another echoed: ‘Not Will naming his son after a dead sheep’.

A third said: ‘all these names are ugly af lmfao ( I forgive Will cause it’s named after his de@d sheep).’

A fourth tweeted: ‘Rufus the dead sheep #loveisland’.

A fifth asked: ‘So will names his baby after his dead sheep?’

And a sixth added: ‘naming your baby after a dead sheep is crazy #loveisland’.

SHAQ IS LEFT UNIMPRESSED AT TANYA’S JOKE

Elsewhere, Shaq was left unimpressed when Tanya joked that her partner may not be the baby’s father.

Her beau failed to see the funny side of her comment as he brought it up again later in the day, perhaps still reeling from their past drama in the villa.

During baby change duties, Tanya questioned to Shaq: ‘Are you sure you’re the dad?’

But it may not have landed so well, as the latter was keen to clear the air later on and brings up the joke again – once little Shanya was down for the night.

Shaq and Tanya have been back on track for the last few weeks, after suffering a bump in the road when the latter decided to recouple with new boy Martin during Casa Amor.

It was also time for some Daddy Day Care as the boys received a text informing them that they’re headed on a day out with their babies.

Giving the girls some peace, they enjoyed a day out at the park – where talk turned to discussions of real children in the future.

As Shaq asked Kai whether he can see himself having kids one day with Sanam, the teacher replied: ‘If things keep going how they are then without a doubt I could see us having kids. Bruno is lucky to have a mum like her; she’s beautiful, intelligent, caring.’

Will sang a nursery rhyme to baby Rufus and Tom admits he ‘100%’ wants kids in the future.

While Ron asked Shaq: ‘Do you want to be a parent?’.

He answered: ‘Yeah, me and Tanya have spoken about it in the future, she wants two I want three.’

RON CRITICISES LANA’S PARENTING SKILLS

Fans slammed Ron after he called Lana’s parenting skills ‘unattractive’ during the baby challenge.

Viewers claimed the self-proclaimed ‘single dad’ took the task too seriously and acted as of his girlfriend ‘had birthed’ the plastic doll.

The challenge sees each couple become parents to an electronic baby, which they must look after and care for throughout one day – with the best parents winning.

As the animatronic babies screamed and cried down the villa, Ron and Lana were seen trying to change their tot into a new set of clothes.

While the make-up artist, 25, struggled to button up the doll’s ensemble Ron, also 25, made his thoughts clear.

The financial advisor admitted: ‘When girls are good with babies it’s really attractive and you have not done that…I’ll be completely honest.’

But the comments didn’t end there as after their long day of parenting came to an end, he added: ‘I think we can quite definitely gather that you’re not ready to be a mum. Maybe in five years time or more.’

‘I smashed that challenge though,’ Ron concluded.

‘But you didn’t, because another couple won,’ Lana fired back.

Ron quipped: ‘But that baby had parents, our’s just had one, I was a single dad.’

While Lana grimaced at her boyfriend’s comments fans of the show aired their feelings on Twitter.

One person wrote: ‘Ron’s acting like she birthed that doll. Of course she’s not gonna take a doll seriously.’

Another added: ‘Well that ain’t very “International Women’s Day” of you Ronnie boy, is it?’

‘Ron too that baby challenge a little too seriously,’ A third person posted.

Another fan added: ‘Ron’s behaviour this episode isn’t sitting right with me… he’s been constantly putting Lana down.’

TOM CRIES OVER CASEY BEING DUMPED FROM THE VILLA

Viewers were also left in hysterics when Tom wept when his close pal Casey was dumped from the villa.

Casey and Rosie Seabrook were eliminated from the ITV2 dating contest at the end of Tuesday’s episode after receiving the lowest amount of votes from the public.

After the shock dumping rocked the villa, Tom was seen looking very emotional as he broke down in tears and was comforted by his partner Samie.

However, fans were left amused by his reaction as they pointed out the footballer can reunite with his friend in less than a week’s time when the show wraps up.

The series is set to come to a close on Monday night as the grand final will see a couple be crowned the 2023 winter winners and take home the £50,000 prize.

Taking to Twitter, some viewers pointed out that Casey hadn’t ‘died’ and joked that Tom should have left the show alongside the ‘real love of his life’.

A third commented: ‘You’re gonna see him in a few days tom,’ and a fourth joked: ‘Tom’s about to name his baby Casey so they can still hang out.’

A fifth tweeted: ‘Can someone tell Tom that Casey isn’t getting put down and he’s actually going to see him in a week.’

While a sixth penned: ‘If Tom really liked him, he should go as well really,’ and another added: ‘Tom is crying like he won’t be seeing Casey in a weeks time.’

In the tearful scenes, Tom was seen looking distraught after Casey was dumped from the villa, with Samie wrapping her arm around him to comfort her partner.

Samie said: ‘I had the worst feeling, it’s going to be so weird without him. So s** isn’t it.’

To which an emotional Tom responded: ‘He were like my best mate. It’s mad he was the one who got me through the s**t times, when we were in Casa.’

Through tears, he added: ‘So many laughs, him with that trumpet, man. I never get emotional, such a character.’

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Tom went on: ‘The dumpings, they never get easier, coming into this place you don’t think you’ll meet people like this, but the bond you form with people is incredible.

‘Then when you have to see someone walk out the door like that with a suitcase, it’s tough, it really is.’

On Tuesday, Islanders were forced to say goodbye to Casey and Rosie as they were dumped from the villa after receiving the lowest number of votes from the public.

They found themselves in the bottom three couples with Tanya and Shaq and Will and Jessie.

The villa were distraught to see the couple leave, with Tom Clare and Will most affected as they helped Casey pack his things.

'He's going to see him in a week!': However, fans were left amused by his reaction as they pointed out Tom can reunite with his friend in less than a week's time when the show wraps up

As they left Rosie said that she was glad to be leaving with Casey, and that this was ‘just the beginning’.

Casey said: ‘I’m absolutely gutted to be leaving such an amazing group of people, especially my boys Will and Tom.

‘But to be leaving with Rosie and to have found what I’m looking for is amazing.’

After Monday night’s episode, viewers had 15 minutes to vote to save their favourite couple, putting all the Islanders at risk of being axed from the South African villa.

This year’s grand final will take place on Monday March 13, airing live from South Africa on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
