Ex-Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo is tased by cops after ‘trashing’ an office at hospital, with girlfriend saying he suffered medical episode due to bipolar disorder

Former Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo was tasered by cops this week after suffering an alleged medical episode, and is now hospitalized according to his girlfriend.

Chickillo, 30, was at Hialeah Hospital in Hialeah, Florida on Thursday when he began ‘trashing’ an office there, witnesses told TMZ.

And in video obtained by the website,  Chickillo can be seen barefoot and shirtless as police subdue him and place him in handcuffs.

According to Chickillo’s girlfriend, Katherine ‘Tatu Baby’ Flores, his actions were caused by his bipolar disorder, which she says was caused by a concussion he sustained in the NFL.

‘It was just a medical situation,’ she said.

TMZ reported that Chickillo was not arrested, but instead placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold.
