Filming for the 2024 season of Married at First Sight is well and truly underway.

And as next year’s brides and grooms settle into their new ‘married’ lives, Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James who appeared on last year’s series have offered words some advice.

‘Have fun, take it with a grain of salt, and just give it your all,’ Evelyn, 27, told Daily Mail Australia at Channel Nine’s 2024 upfronts on Wednesday night.

Duncan, on the other hand, urged the new flock to remain grounded and not lose themselves in the frenzy to carve a personality that isn’t theirs.

He cautioned, ‘Don’t try and play to be a personality that you’re not,’ emphasising the value of authenticity in winning the hearts of the audience.

Married At First Sight’s Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James have issued a warning to upcoming participants – as season 11 is being filmed in Sydney

Duncan confidently added that people cherish genuineness, advising, ‘Just be who you are, and then I think people will like that authenticity and they’ll love you for that.’

Meanwhile, speaking about their journey post the whirlwind experience on the show, Evelyn painted a picture of a life that has been nothing short of a carnival.

‘I think life has been pretty crazy. Things have settled down, but we’ve been enjoying everything,’ she gushed.

Expressing her heartfelt gratitude for the companionship she found in Duncan, after the show, she added, ‘We’re grateful to have each other. And yeah, just taking every day as it comes. It’s been a wild ride.’

Duncan admitted that the journey was something he hadn’t envisioned but nonetheless cherished.

‘I would never have imagined it to be like this.

A few downs, but a lot of ups. The rollercoaster is not about the downs, it’s who you sit next to. It’s been amazing,’ he reflected.
