Facebook debate like the Dress kicks off over trainers

First the internet was sent into a tailspin over whether a striped dress was black and blue or white and gold.

Now users are divided once again as they debate over a pair of trainers that present a similar mind-bending problem: some are convinced the shoes are grey and aqua – while others believe they are pink and white.

Facebook user Nicole Coulthard shared a picture of her friend’s new shoes, asking people what colour they thought they were.

‘What do you girls see? Please tell me pink and white!’

Nicole’s post has since sparked a huge debate, and has gained over 1,000 comments in just a day.

Her frustrated Facebook friends couldn’t work out what colour the shoes were either, with many saying it was causing rifts at home.

Speaking to Metro, Nicole that the trainers had caused a ‘big argument’ with her mum as they rowed about their colour.

She said: ‘She texted back saying they are pink mum, but when she looked at the pic she saw blue too.

‘She sent it to me and I was convinced they are pink, we had a big argument as she said I only said pink because I knew she had bought pink shoes so that’s why I decided to put it up.’
