Family Matters star Jaleel White took to his social media to share his excitement of reprising the iconic Steve Urkle for a new animated Scooby-Doo show. 

The 42-year-old took to Instagram to share a grab of cartoon-Urkle that will appear on the new ‘Scooby-Doo and Guess Who’ show slated for Boomerang’s streaming service on June 27.

‘Walked in that booth after 20 years and voiced him like it was nuthin #SteveUrkel #UrkelBot,’ White said in the Instagram post on Friday.  

 

He played Urkle while Family Matters aired from 1989 to 1998

‘Hanna Barbera once gifted me an animation cell I have til this day. To be ON screen with Scoob And Shaggy solving a mystery is #Bucketlist stuff Enjoy! And my daughter STILL thinks she cooler than me!’

Included in the post was a signed animation cell that the actor had recieved from Hanna Barbera, the animation studio behind Scooby-Doo. 

The new batch of mysteries that the dream team will take on requires them to tap on an array of notable figures to help them solve the case.

Scooby and his team will enlist the help of comedians Ricky Gervias, Kenan Thompson, Jim Gaffigan, Wanda Sykes, Whoopi Goldberg and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

Sia and Halsey were tapped as the singers joining the show while Mark Hamill and Penn&Teller have also been said to make appearances. 

Even science gurus Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson are going to be featured on the show.

The show’s premiere on June 27 will include an appearance from basketball star Chris Paul. 

Following episodes will air on Thursday.
