Fan claims he was assaulted by Floyd Mayweather’s minders

  • The fan said he was grabbed by the neck and punched in the face by a minder
  • The man said he simply wanted the boxer to pose with him for a selfie  

A Floyd Mayweather fan claimed the boxer’s entourage assaulted him as he approached the fighter outside a Hollywood chicken joint while trying to get a selfie. 

The unidentified fan approached the boxer outside Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in the hope of stopping the fighter and asking him for a photograph. 

It is claimed the fan was pushed against a wall by a member of the entourage before the boxer was whisked away from the scene.

According to TMZ.com, police are now investigating allegations of assault outside the chicken joint at around 8pm on Wednesday. 

The fighter, who recently defeated Irish MMA champion Conor McGregor, was enjoying dinner in the famous chicken joint. 

Footage of the incident appears to show a member of the fighter’s security team intercepting the fan and grabbing him by the next before slamming him against a wall.   

The man, who has not been publicly named, told TMZ that he was also punched in the face. He released a number of photographs to the celebrity website which seemed to show marks on his neck, which he claims were caused during the incident. 

He stressed he was simply looking for a photograph with the boxing star.  

The man said he has reported the incident to police. 

MailOnline has approached Floyd Mayweather Promotions and Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles for a comment.
