Don shared the news with Zoe Ball on her BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, adding the first episode was meant to hit screens on Friday
‘Three – and we’ve filmed them and the great thing about them is they’re all full of new stuff.
‘So it’s not just rehashing old things, it’s all new and it’s lots and lots of content.’
Host Zoe replied: ‘It’s so part of my week… Friday night, on the sofa, Gardeners’ World, we love it.’
In one of the episodes, fellow Garderners’ World presenter, Adam Frost, is set to give a famous face a visit.
‘Queen of Cakes’, Mary Berry, doesn’t only hold a candle for baking, she is also extremely passionate about gardening.
The baking pro will show off her skills, bringing the garden into the kitchen – from freezing herbs to sewing snapdragon seeds with a cocktail stick.
Elsewhere, co-host Nick Bailey heads off to a garden in Dorchester blossoming with more than 350 different types of roses – with one hybrid tea-rose even named after Mary herself.
Returning to the chef’s garden, Adam and Mary show fans how to harvest their veg and to instruct them on how to make an edible planter for winter.
