Fans are convinced they have spotted Middletons at wedding in Jordan

A cameo from the Middletons? Royal fans are convinced Kate’s mother Carole and sister Pippa are among the guests at Crown Prince Hussein’s wedding reception in Jordan

As 4,000 guests descend on the Al Husseiniya Palace in Jordan for the wedding reception of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al-Saif, royal fans think they may have spotted some familiar faces among them.

People on Twitter are convinced that Carole Middleton, Pippa Middleton, and her husband James Matthews, are present in the crowd at the reception this evening.

As Queen Rania and King Abdullah appeared in the forefront of a shot during the livestream of the wedding reception, the fans said they thought Carole and Pippa were in the background, both wearing blue gowns.

Alongside them is a tall man who people think could be James Matthews.

The Middletons are no strangers to Jordan, where they lived when the children were young due to Mike’s job, with the Princess of Wales holding a fondness for the country.

However, while the Princess of Wales is at the event with Prince William, representing the British royals, it has not been officially confirmed whether the guests in question are her family members.

The Middleton family spent three years in Jordan during the early 80s, beginning when Kate was just two years old, after her father Michael, a British Airways manager, was relocated to Amman for work.

After the ceremony between the newlyweds this afternoon, Prince William and Kate stopped to chat with the newlyweds for several minutes.

Kate gave the bride and groom a friendly kiss  on the cheek, as she and William congratulated the happy couple.

Kate even wore the same Lebanese designer as the bride – Elie Saab – as she donned a blush pink dress to the event.

Princess Beatrice, 34, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 39, were also in attendance for the big day.

They were all greeted by Queen Rania and King Abdullah when they arrived at the Palace, before the ceremony started.

The attendance of the British royals – who were spotted at a luxury hotel in Amman last night – had been kept under wraps, and was only confirmed by Jordanian state media a few hours before the start of the palace ceremony.

Fans have taken to Twitter in an attempt to identify the group of people.

One user wrote: ‘Definitely Pippa and her husband James beside the woman in blue.

‘Woman does look similar to Carole Middleton but Pippa is not that much shorter than her mother. They are the same height. Need clearer picture.’
