With another successful collection at New York Fashion Week and the launch of her new beauty brand, Rihanna is seemingly taking over the fashion world.
But one particular item that featured in the singer’s Fenty x Puma Spring/ Summer 2018 show has left fans very confused.
Not everyone was on board with the heeled flip flops that appeared on the catwalk during New York Fashion Week last week – with one person branding them as ‘ugly as hell’.
Even some of the most committed Rihanna fans were unconvinced, saying they ‘support everything’ the singer does, aside from the statement heels.

The bizarre shoe – which comes in a range of colours – features a thick ankle strap and a block heel, while looking like a classic flip flop at the front.
Social media users were quick to react to the heels, with many saying they were unimpressed.
One wrote: ‘I don’t know what Rihanna was thinking but these Flip Flop Heels are ugly as hell’.
Another added ‘I adore Rihanna… but I can never get on board with these’, while one fan simply commented: ‘As if Rihanna has released flip flop heels’.

However, one fan did say she would be purchasing the item regardless, writing: ‘If you think I am going to flip flops just because Rihanna made them, YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT’.
It comes as Rihanna fans accused Kim Kardashian of stealing the singer’s fluffy sliders design.
After Kim unveiled the children’s shoes from her The Kids Supply x AKID collaboration, social media users suggested they were remarkably similar to styles from Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma range.
But one fan insisted she would be buying the flip flops – ‘just because Rihanna made them’
