Fans fume over mummy blogger’s ‘social media break’ as her husband takes over role of filming the kids: ‘They need to put the phone down!’

Indy Clinton’s fans were left fuming after the mummy blogger announced she was taking a ‘social media break’ – only for her husband to take over filming.

The social media star, 26, has won over a legion of 1.9million followers on TikTok with her videos documenting her everyday family life with husband Ben Azar.

She often shares sweet videos of her kids Navy, three, Bambi, one, and Soul, six months, and discussed the reality of being a mother to three youngsters.

But she has been absent from her pages over the past week to take a ‘social media break’, previously revealing that she would return to the platform on August 9.

A statement on her Instagram biography reads: ‘I’m MIA from 25th to August 9th, don’t miss me too much.’

However, though she has not been active on her Instagram, her husband Ben has started posting family updates to her TikTok over the past few days.

Ben – who has the nickname Big Ed because he reminds fans of the 90 Day Fiancé star – returned to the platform on Monday to take over her regular programming.

He has since posted a second vlog, providing fans with a string of updates on their family life as he cradled baby Soul and spoke to camera in the footage.

Taking over her socials, he shared: ‘You know Indy is off socials, which is nice for her, I’m just taking this over, I’m of the opinion that nobody gives a f**k but in case you care.’

In one video, Indy can be heard off-camera speaking to Ben as she remained somewhat involved in the daily videos, despite her social media break.

But fans had very mixed reactions to Ben taking over her posts as they urged the family to just ‘put the phone down’ and stay off social media altogether.

‘They just need to put the phone down and be a family without vlogging for once, surely it’s not that hard,’ one wrote on a Reddit forum.

‘I thought she was away for ”work” and when I realised it’s just a break from her actual appearance I thought…. GET A GRIP,’ a second shared.

‘It’s an attention thing. It’s like when people jump online and vaguebook. They seek attention and validation,’ a third claimed.

However, other fans flocked to Indy’s support as they told how entertained they were by Ben’s spin on Indy’s daily vlogs, particularly when he burnt the vegetables when trying to cook dinner.

‘Everyday I await these vlogs. u lot slay. we miss u indy,’ one wrote, while another said: ‘Ben is actually such a good vlogger!’

A third commented: ‘The burnt veggies are sending me,’ while a fourth penned: ‘Okay but I actually love my veggies like that.’

‘I love this new perspective omg,’ a fifth said as another added: ‘Lovely to see this family again, I’ve missed you.’
