Channel 4 deleted a tweet which falsely announced that Michael Buble’s son had died from cancer. 

The social media team at the network wrongly said that Mr Buble had discussed ‘the death’ of his child on Carpool Karaoke – but the tweet was deleted after fans demanded its removal.   

The singer’s son Noah, aged five, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016.

Channel 4’s tweet read: ‘Watching Michael Buble talking about the death of his son from Cancer is one of the most heartbreaking things we’ve ever watched.

‘Sending him and his family so much love for telling their story!’

It was intended to promote the singer’s appearance in a special Stand Up To Cancer Carpool Karaoke.

Mr Buble left viewers heartbroken as he detailed the liver cancer diagnosis of his five-year-old son Noah.

The Canadian singer, 43, enjoyed a singalong with James Corden for a Carpool Karaoke special during Stand Up To Cancer UK on tonight. 

The discussion turned serious as he confessed ‘his whole world ended’ upon learning of Noah’s diagnosis at the tender age of three.
