Arsenal fans have insisted they have a future star in the making after a compilation of academy talent Max Dowman went viral on social media.

A left-footed midfielder, the 14-year-old Dowman has frequently played above his age group in the Gunners’ academy.

In September Dowman appeared as a second-half substitute in a U18 Premier League clash aged just 13.

The starlet also featured as Arsenal’s under-16 side demolished Liverpool 14-3 earlier this season, a game in which fellow Hale End talent Chido Obi-Martin netted ten times.

Dowman netted twice and provided three assists in the game, and was recently rewarded for his performances with a call up to England’s under-16 side.

Despite still being two years younger than some of his peers, a compilation of Dowman’s performances on international duty at the Football Federations Cup showed he is more than capable with the ball at his feet at that level.

One supporter wrote: ‘Special player. Very difficult to tell at that age of course ; others catch up etc but got hope for this one.

‘Won player of the tournament at some European junior tournament last summer I believe.’

Another added: ‘The way he plays with such maturity and calmness on the ball the skill and control reminds me of Patino tbh looks a real future prospect!’

A further fan agreed: ‘Left footers always look more balanced.

‘Heard a few people talk about this kid, give it a few years and him alongside Mikey Moore from Spurs will destroy every U21 team in the world.’
