Fans say the same thing as Iowa State Fair unveils bizarre butter sculptures of Caitlin Clark, Kurt Warner and Jack Trice

A bizarre butter sculpture of NCAA Division 1 college basketball star Caitlin Clark has made the rounds of social media after its unveiling on Thursday, as fans all say the exact same thing… that it looks nothing like the Iowa point guard…

Sarah Pratt, along with her apprentices and daughters, Hannah and Grace, showed off the work of art in Des Moines – Iowa’s capital – along with sculptures of two other local high-profile athletes from the area: retired NFL QB Kurt Warner and John Trice – the first African-American athlete to represent Iowa State College in 1922.

And fans of Clark’s went into full meltdown on Twitter after snaps of the statue of this year’s Naismith Player of the Year were shared online, including some with governor, Kim Reynolds.

‘That Caitlin Clark butter statue looked (sic) awfully familiar….,’ said a person who compared the sculpture to an infamous one of Cristiano Ronaldo at Madeira’s airport in Portugal.

‘Butter Caitlin Clark is going on my Halloween costume list,’ another tweeted.

‘Are they for real with that butter version of Caitlin Clark at the state fair? They did her dirty if the pics floating around are true…,’ wrote a different user.

‘Tomato Larry Bird vs. Butter Caitlin Clark 1v1: who yah got?’ shared an individual.

‘Butter Caitlin Clark looks exactly like a Terracotta Warrior,’ tweeted someone else.

Clark, 21, led Iowa to its first national championship game ever in April, losing to Angel Reese’s LSU.

She’s also a three-time All-American and became the first women’s player to lead the Division 1 in points and assists in a single season in the history of college basketball.

Clark also won three gold medals representing the US at youth level and was named MVP of the 2021 FIBA U-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.

She was embroiled in controversy after First Lady Jill Biden suggested that Iowa and LSU should be invited to the White House following the national championship game this spring.

Reese also got Clark’s name trending after mocking her counterpart’s ‘You Can’t See Me’ hand signal, inspired by retired WWE star, John Cena.

Iowa will now attempt to make history by setting the all-time women’s basketball attendance record when it hosts DePaul in an outdoor exhibition game at its 69,000-seat Kinnick Stadium on October 15, the school announced Thursday, according to ESPN.
