Farmer rescued after seven tonne tractor rolled over his foot and trapped him for 13 hours

  • He received treatment at the scene before being flown to Tamworth hospital

A farmer has endured nearly 13 hours with his foot trapped beneath the wheel of a seven tonne tractor. 

The 62-year-old was yelling out for help all day after the mammoth vehicle rolled onto him about 9am on his farm in Glenbawn, south east of Scone.

His calls were finally answered about 10pm Sunday night, more than 12 hours after he first became lodged in the unfortunate position.

He received treatment at his farm before being flown in a Westpac Rescue helicopter.

The man was taken to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital for further treatment.

The man was reportedly in a stable condition.
