Farmer Wants A Wife: Brad Crane and Stacie Marmion open up about life ten years later

Farmer Wants A Wife couple Brad Crane and Stacie Marmion are still as in love today, as they were when they first met on TV in 2009.

Since starring on the show’s fourth season, they have settled into married life, have welcomed three daughters and overcome a devastating drought on their farm in Gunnedah, NSW.

In a rare interview with Woman’s Day on Monday, Brad, 40, and Stacey, 37, opened up about their life these days, and revealed that aside from their happy marriage, things haven’t exactly been easy.

‘We are happiest just enjoying each other’s company. Stacie is my best mate,’ gushed Brad, who was living with his parents when he starred on the show.

‘Sometimes we go to bed together and wake up and there are one, two or even three kids in bed with us,’ Stacie added.

The couple have three children, Darcie, six, Bobbie, four, and Frankie, two, and joke that they often struggle to find the time for romantic dates these days.

In recent years, the family were forced to abandon their farm business, with Brad having to put a lot of their livestock down after several droughts.

‘We might get a shower, but the cattle were weak – they would drop to the ground and you couldn’t get them up,’ he said.

‘I honestly think I put down 40 cattle. They could have been worth $1500 each. That’s $60,000.’

Speaking to Mamamia in October, Stacie admitted the drought ‘knocked them for six’ but they had no choice but to ‘soldier on’ for their children.

She said that they have since used Brad’s skills as an electrician to create a contracting business, and now have six employees.

‘That put us in a better position. These old blokes that have had farms for generations and generations, they’ve got nothing,’ she said.

Brad added: ‘One day I realised, “You have three cracking looking daughters and a gorgeous wife, it should not be this stressful”. It was getting too stressful.’
