Farmer Wants A Wife star Andrew Coleman reveals shock details of his split with Claire Saunders – and the brutal way she dumped him

Farmer Wants A Wife hunk Andrew Coleman has opened up about his bitter split with ex-fiancée Claire Saunders and the shock way she ended their relationship.

The NSW-based sheep farmer, 43, claimed Claire, 37, broke up with him over text message following a serious conversation they had about their upcoming wedding.

‘Claire had a stay in Tasmania and when she arrived back at the farm, she suggested we talk about the wedding – she asked me how I was feeling,’ Andrew told Woman’s Day.

Andrew said he told Claire he was feeling a bit nervous ahead of their big day, which prompted her to call off the wedding altogether.

‘I expressed some doubts about getting married. The next day Claire texted me saying she’d cancelled the wedding, and she’d already informed family and friends.’

He admitted he was blindsided by Claire’s decision to call things off as he thought they were taking the right steps to work through their relationship challenges.

‘When I got back, Claire was quite upset, as was I. She told me she had work to go to in Darwin, I was quite shocked. When I left that morning, I thought things were okay.’

Andrew added they realised they were incompatible in two key areas of their lives: financial awareness and social media usage.

The lovable farmer said even though things didn’t work out between him and Claire he was still hopeful about one day finding love.

‘Just because this one didn’t work out doesn’t mean you give up. I still have hopes and dreams of having a family and settling down,’ he added.

Earlier this month, Claire revealed her side of the story about why she and Andrew suddenly called off their wedding.

The couple left fans shocked when they confirmed they had ended their romance in July and wouldn’t be marrying in September.

Claire shed light on their unexpected break-up and said they decided to go their separate ways after their relationship came under strain.

The reality TV star explained they were both put under stress when Andrew’s father became seriously ill.

‘I cancelled the wedding in July, you can’t make someone marry you. He wanted some space so I went to Darwin for the dry season and the wheels really fell off after that. It’s been a terrible time,’ she told Who.

Claire and Andrew met on the 13th series of FWAW after finding love on the 2023 series when they famously left the show early to pursue a relationship together on Andrew’s farm in Narromine, NSW.
