Thessy’s top tips and tricks for weight loss:

* Instead of olive oil put a little bit of balsamic vinegar and lemon on your salads.

* Avoid red meat as much as you can. Only eat it twice a week.

*Throw away all of the junk food in your house.

* Berries were a great replacement for sweet foods.

* Pomegranate juice added to sparkling water tasted just like a soft drink.

The slender Aussie also avoided red meat as much as possible, only have three lamb cutlets or a piece of steak twice a week.

She avoided ‘cheating’ on her diet by having a chocolate paddle pop every night and only had two bigger ‘cheat meals’ in seven months which were waffles.

Her wedding became her best form of motivation during the journey and helped her train six times a week, combined with long distance running.

What did Thessy eat during her journey?

For the first three to four weeks she was eating in a calorie-deficit in order to lose weight.

‘I reduced my fats and carbohydrates,’ she said.

Breakfast was two Weet-bix every day with skim milk.

Morning tea was Vita-Wheats with cottage cheese.

Lunch was salad with a lean protein like turkey mince or chicken breast.

Afternoon tea was a piece of fruit post training or a protein shake.

Dinner always consisted of red meat (twice a week) or white meat with salad.

Chocolate paddle pop ice cream every single night.

‘I was so happy with how everything turned out especially the fabric and fit of my bustier with my large boobs,’ she said.

Previously Thessy, who went through countless rounds of IVF and also suffered with postpartum depression, said her main priority was to be a mother but she also wanted to lose weight the ‘proper way’ – without having to resort to a crash diet.

‘I see the photo on the left and know I grew a human using A LOT of artificial hormones, so I am not ashamed or upset to post this photo,’ she said on Instagram.

‘I know my body performed a miracle and I love myself for it. In saying this, I have a wedding I have dreamt my whole life about and I don’t want to get to two months out and go on a crash diet.

‘So I decided to do this the proper way. My main priority is being a mother but I found the time and dedication to exercise for 45 mins daily.

‘And what better timing… I was selected to test the @fitazfk app, I take my phone with me and use the gym section of the app, and do one cardio session and one resistance session every single day.

‘Days that I can’t make it to the gym (if I’m behind on work or Zani is sleeping) I’ll switch to “home work out” in the app. I’m seven weeks in… look at my progress. ‘

Thessy said she had to ‘work her ‘ar** off’ to lose every kilo she put on during pregnancy, and added she wasn’t one of the women who ‘bounce back’ and don’t look like they ‘grew a human’.

The couple and their daughter are still in Greece surrounded by family and friends, where they will honeymoon before returning to Australia.
