A father has been accused of chaining up his disabled daughter and taunting her by putting a sheet over her head and making her sit like a dog.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the girl, allegedly detained her at home in Wollongong last year.
Police allege the father and his mate – who is the girl’s mother’s new boyfriend – chained up the cognitively impaired teenager after she ‘became aggressive’ with her sister, according to the Illawarra Star.
A 43-year-old father (pictured right) has been charged after he allegedly chained up his disabled daughter with a friend and before laughing and her placing a sheet over her head
After the men allegedly placed a sheet over the girl’s head, her older sister became concerned and started recording their behaviour on her iPhone.
She then told the pair her boyfriend would be coming over to help her.
Police allege her mother’s boyfriend then kicked the phone out of the older daughter’s hands and the two men released the younger girl in fear of the consequences.
The alleged abuse only came to light after the daughter sold her iPhone to another person in November.
That person allegedly discovered the horrific footage and gave it to police.
The footage allegedly shows the girl with her wrists bound in chains with a long chain acting as a leash which the men held.
A second video allegedly shows the girl kneeling as her father’s friend held the chain and looked like he was ‘commanding a dog to sit’, police said in court documents.

The father appeared in Port Kembla Local Court, south of Sydney, on Friday charged with several offences including take/detain person in company.
In a separate incident, he is also accused of attempting to groom a girl under 16 for sex.
He allegedly sent indecent material and sexual messages to who he thought was 14-year-old girl before he later discovered it was actually an undercover police officer.
The man is next due in court in April.
