A Sydney father-to-be accused of flashing female joggers has pleaded guilty to stalking, common assault and acts of indecency.

Police alleged a rope, balaclava, gloves and a muzzle were found at his Freshwater home on Sydney’s northern beaches after Andrew James Grant was arrested in March.

An unsuccessful bail application the NSW Supreme Court last month heard Grant’s partner was expecting their first child in July.

Grant pleaded guilty in Central Local Court on Thursday to four counts of stalking and intimidation, two acts of indecency and common assault.

Other charges – including assault with an act of indecency, wilful and obscene exposure, behaving in an offensive manner, and other counts of stalking and intimidation – were withdrawn or dismissed.

Police previously said some of the alleged incidents on the Bay Run in Sydney’s inner west in January and February happened as early as 7.30am and others at 10pm.

Grant was accused of stalking one victim at 3.30pm before targeting her again three hours later.

His behaviour had been escalating and ‘becoming increasingly unpredictable and brazen’, police said during Grant’s first court appearance.

‘Police fear he may be unable to control his future urges and may sexually assault any future victims,’ documents tendered to the court stated.

He was nabbed after police released an image of the alleged flasher and called for the public’s help identifying him.

It was previously revealed in court Grant had previously been convicted of indecently exposing himself at a park in Perth, Western Australia.

Grant is scheduled to be sentenced in Central Local Court on August 8.
