Father’s decomposed body found at Kansas City parking lot

Randy Potter from Lenexa, Kansas was found dead inside of his pickup truck eight months after he went missing 

A man’s decomposing body was found Tuesday inside his truck at a parking lot at Kansas City International Airport. 

He is believed to have taken his own life in January. 

Randy Potter, 56, worked at a T Mobile store and lived in Lenexa, Kansas with his wife. 

On January 17, the father-of-two never showed up to work.

His family reported him missing and spent the last eight month’s searching for Randy and didn’t find him until last week. Police have ruled his death a suicide.

Airport police reported an odor coming from his white Dodge Ram truck and found his remains. 

Randy’s widow Carolina Potter told KCTV5: ‘Every dead body found, I was calling the police department and asking if it was my husband.’

His daughter Nichole said: ‘Knowing what happened and how long he sat, it’s disgusting.’

The Potters believe police could have done more to find Randy sooner. 

Lester Underhill, their private investigator, told the station: ‘These family members feel that they’re responsible because they didn’t check it because they felt the responsibility was on the police department and the officials there at the airport.’

‘It didn’t happen and it’s ridiculous.’
