The FBI has just released thousands of new photos and video from its investigation into the 2011 shooting in Tucson that left six people dead and 13 injured, including former US Rep. Gabby Giffords.
One of the photos shows Pima County Sheriff’s deputies pinning lone gunman Jared Loughner to the ground after he targeted Giffords on January 8, 2011 at a meet your constituent event.
Giffords was Loughner’s main target at the event outside a Safeway supermarket and she was left partially paralyzed on the right side of her body as a result.

Most of the photos published on the FBI’s website on Wednesday show belongings left behind at the crime scene, including cell phones, jewelry and clothing.
One of the videos is of surveillance taken from inside the store moments before the shooting that shows a hooded Loughner walking around inside and buying a bottle of water.
Among those killed were 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green, US District Court Judge John Roll and Giffords’ aide Gabe Zimmerman.
