Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch’s 15 minutes of fame may be up after her appearance at an Alabama music festival left the crowd feeling less than impressed.
Welch, 22, shot to fame over the summer after she used the term ‘hawk tuah’ to describe spitting as part of a sexual act during an on-street interview that went viral.
However, the internet star could be losing her status as the internet ‘IT girl’ as she was met with an underwhelmed audience at the Rock The South Festival over the weekend.
Video shows the moment she was brought on stage to introduce Warren Zeiders and Jelly Roll, but found herself greeted by an unwelcoming crowd.

Attempting to warm up the crowd, Welch shouted: ‘Let’s here for Warren Zeiders and Jelly Roll!’
Her enthusiasm was not matched by the audience who could not be bothered to join her in cheering.
The reaction has left many to wonder if Hawk Tuah girls time in the spotlight is winding down.
‘Ugh can we be done with this girl now,’ said one person. ‘I think people are over her already,’ said a second.
‘She was June. This is July. Times up,’ a third person said. ‘Shows how quick the viral flame can burn out,’ said another.
‘She was funny for a minute but this is just stupid now,’ a person said. ‘Honestly it was over done after the third time hearing it. Time to move on,’ said another.
Others defended Welch claiming they are excited to see her on stage and commend her for making the most of her time in the spotlight.
‘She’s much better to watch than the political bulls**t we’ve been looking at. More Hawk Tuah,’ one person said.
‘What I think is dope is she’s actually shown she’s a good person and done a lot with her 15 mins of fame compared to others we keep making famous for some ungodly reason,’ a second said.
Tennis star Nick Kyrgios recently took aim at Welch’s appearance at Jake Paul’s boxing match with Mike Perry.
Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – Kyrgios tweeted: ‘No correlation between fame and actually being decent at something anymore,’ along with a laughing emoji.
Welch responded to Kyrgios criticism by saying she does not let the haters get under her skin.
‘Let me put it this way, I don’t wake up and hate on anybody else, I don’t understand why people do that,’ she told TMZ.

‘They have their own opinion, they’re entitled to it, I don’t care what they think. At all. If they wake up and feel that way, then so be it.’
In the weeks since her viral street interview, Welch has been making the most of her suddenly public persona, from launching a line of merch to appearing on stage at a Zach Bryan concert and touring NYC.
That off-the-cuff interview has spurred a lucrative career for the Tennessee native, who has since signed with management company The Penthouse – which is now helping her to book appearances that are earning her a staggering $20,000 each, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to Jonnie Forster, the founder of The Penthouse, the management team have been working ‘around the clock’ to align Welch with the right projects for her blossoming career – and it’s all carefully thought out.
In collaboration with celebrity TikTok musician Jax Writes Songs, Welch has debuted short and sweet jingle explaining the meaning of ‘hawk tuah.’
