Family and friends are desperately searching for a missing sports reporter who hasn’t been heard from since messaging her roommate to say she was being followed by a ‘suspicious man’.

Courtney Roland, 29, a reporter for Rivals’ Texas A&M site AggieYell.com, was last seen leaving a Texas elite football camp in the Heights area at around 4pm on Saturday, her family told Click2Houston.

Her roommate told the station that Roland had texted her at around 12.30am on Sunday about a ‘suspicious man’ she saw in Walgreens.

The man had followed Roland home, the roommate said, but sped off as Roland got out of her car.

The roommate said she was supposed to be meeting up with Roland – but never heard from her.

She is thought to be wearing a camo fleece with an orange Remington hat and driving a 2015 Silver Jeep Cherokee with license plate HZC7778.

But in the early hours of Monday morning, Brian Perroni, a former colleague, wrote on Twitter that her car, purse, wallet and phone have been found in the Houston Galleria area.
