Fears for pregnant Bindi Irwin’s safety after carried a ‘heavy animal’

Fans fear for Bindi Irwin’s safety after she was pictured carrying a ‘heavy animal’ – as they urge the pregnant wildlife warrior to put the ‘baby first’

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are expecting their first child, a baby girl, next year.

But fans were bizarrely concerned for the pregnant wildlife warrior’s safety after she was pictured carrying her Cavalier King Charles spaniel, Piggy.

The 22-year-old shared the sweet photo to Instagram on Thursday, and it wasn’t long before her followers flocked to the comments section to share their concerns.

Can you tell what’s wrong with this photo?: Pregnant Bindi Irwin shared this picture to Instagram on Thursday of herself cuddling her dog Piggy – but some fans found it ‘concerning’

‘Be careful, do not lift heavy animals. Baby first,’ commented one follower, who seemed to grossly overestimate the puppy’s weight.

Another wrote: ‘Be careful lifting, Bindi. When is that belly of yours going to show that you are carrying a baby?’

A third pleaded with her to ‘take care of your back’, while several others told Bindi to ‘stay healthy and safe’ during her pregnancy.

‘Women carry two- to three-year-olds when they’re pregnant – me being one of them that has! Trust that she knows her body as well as she knows every animal in Australia Zoo,’ one supporter wrote.

Another pointed out that the dog didn’t look particularly heavy, commenting: ‘That dog weights maybe five pounds [2.3kg], she’s fine.’
