Fears are growing for a psychotherapist who vanished on Exmoor more than a month ago.

Vanessa Hodge, 49, who was recommended by Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle website Goop, was last seen leaving her home in the small market town of Dulverton by a neighbour on May 29.

Her car, a beige Fiat panda, was found by police parked in a hotel car park near the sea in Porlock, Somerset, five days later. It had a parking ticket on it dated May 30.

Friends described her disappearance as ‘devastating’ and out of character.

‘She is an incredibly kind and sensitive person,’ one friend told The Sunday Times. ‘I really hope there’s some good news soon.’

Hodge is praised by Goop for her stress-relieving healing techniques for pregnant women and babies.

She set up a wellness retreat in the southwest of England about a year ago after previously running a private practice in Marylebone.

The psychotherapist had previously been a photographer in New York, snapping stars including Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.

She is not believed to have any children and it is unclear if she had a partner.

Hodge is between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10ins tall, according to Avon and Somerset Police.

A spokesman said: ‘This remains a missing person inquiry and we are keeping an open mind. We are still appealing to anyone with information to come forward.’
