Feeling broody? Jessica Mauboy cradles a cute baby at Australian Fashion Week

She is set to wed her fiance Themeli Magripilis after the pair were forced to postphone their nuptials due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And it appears Jessica Mauboy is already getting broody.  

The singer looked clucky as she cradled a cute baby at Australian Fashion Week on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old cuddled and cooed over the tiny tot as she attended the First Nations Fashion and Design show at Carriageworks.

The Pop A Bottle star dressed in a chic beige button up dress and black mesh Fendi heels for the show. 

Her complexion was flawless in an earthy makeup palette and she wore her glossy locks down and around her shoulders.

FNFD hosted the first Welcome to Country smoking ceremony earlier this week at the event.

Jessica got engaged to her long-term boyfriend Themeli during a romantic trip to Greece back in 2019.

But last August the bride-to-be revealed the couple had been forced to postpone their nuptials due the coronavirus pandemic.

‘So I’m going to leave it for some time, it really is about rebuilding people and giving back to people [at the moment],’ she added.

Jessica also revealed she intends to perform one of her famous songs on her big day.

She said: ‘I was considering doing Just Like You from my current record, or a little bit of a throwback with Fallin.’

Jessica confirmed her engagement to Themeli, whom she has been dating for more than a decade, in October 2019.

‘The love of my life proposed to me in his family’s home town of Kalymnos, Greece, on the beach at sunset,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time. 

‘We are so happy. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. Thank you for all the love. BIG LOVE JM & Themeli.’

Upon her return to Australia, Jessica was asked about her engagement by paparazzi at Sydney Airport and confessed it was unexpected. 

‘It is very exciting. It was a big surprise in fact, it was pretty crazy!’ she said. 

Themeli, a soccer player from the Northern Territory, reportedly sought approval from his family in Greece before asking Jessica to marry him.

They first met on a night out more than a decade ago, and spent seven years in a long-distance relationship before he relocated to Sydney in 2016.
