A woman in China was amazed to see her pet cat standing up on its hind legs as if it was a meerkat.
The hilarious scene, reportedly captured by the pet owner in central China, shows the feline staying upright extremely still as it rested on its owner’s bed.
The cute moggy held its back straight and managed to keep the position for about 10 seconds as it gazed out of the window.

Mobile phone footage taken by the cat’s owner, in Puyang, China’s Henan Province, showed the adorable animal looking out the window with full concentration.
The stripy cat sat on its hind legs while its two front legs hung loosely at the front.
The gesture looked similar to the natural posture of a meerkat in the wild. It’d probably give the feline a better view.
As the video pans, the feline was distracted and lost its meerkat posture as it realised its owner was approaching.

But the persistent cat quickly returned to its original position as it continued to gaze out of the window.
The hilarious moves made the owner laugh.
She could be heard saying and said: ‘Hahaha, I couldn’t stop laughing.’
