Fergie has spoken out to defend Quentin Tarantino, after he bit her on the arm in a scene for 2006 zombie movie, Planet Terror.
Giving an interview in a bid to set the record straight, the singer said Tarantino’s action was not an example of abuse.
‘We were just having a little bit of fun,’ the 42-year-old hitmaker told Entertainment Tonight at the wrap party for her Fox talent show The Four: Battle For Stardom, at Delilah restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday.
Bright star: Fergie, who wore Versace for the wrap party of her talent show The Four: Battle For Stardom at Delilah in West Hollywood, is defending Quentin Tarantino against abuse claim
‘First off, I just wanna say I stand with victims everywhere, no matter what genre, race, gender, age.
‘I stand with victims, period, and I don’t want to take away from anyone’s story. That just wasn’t my story.’
Image problems: The director, seen in West Hollywood last month, has been hit with more claims that he treated women badly on set
The singer, 42, starred in the Grindhouse double feature, which Tarantino co-directed with Robert Rodriguez.
The story is told in a special bonus feature for the DVD release of the movie and she also referred to it in interviews after the release of the double feature.
Later in the clip, she showed the camera the bruise on her arm from the bite, saying: ‘Quentin f****** bit me. And by the end of this shoot, I will bite him back.’
Gassing up: The biting incident occurred when Fergie starred in 2007 zombie movie Planet Terror, which was part of his Grindhouse double feature – something she called ‘a bit of fun’
The incident has gained new relevance following recent allegations that Tarantino has a history of mistreating women on set including Uma Thirman and Rose McGowan.
Meanwhile, Fergie, who shares son, Axl, four, with ex-husband Josh Duhamel, glammed up in Versace for The Four finale party.
Fox has renewed the talent contest for a second season.
