At least 18 passengers were injured in a Wednesday morning ferry explosion at Mexican spring break hot spot Playa del Carmen.
Police in Quintana Roo say the victims were taken into care at various hospitals.
Firefighters and other emergency crews working at the site rushed to extinguish the fumes while tending to the bloodied passengers, according to CNN Espanol.
