FIFA esports competitor Shellz has signed with Unilad

  • This is Shellz’ breakout year competing in major, international FIFA tournaments
  • He shocked the world by winning £60k as runner-up of the FUT Championships
  • He joins FIWC 2017 champion Gorilla on Unilad’s growing roster of FIFA players

In the space of a year, Shaun ‘Shellz’ Springette has gone from casually playing video games in his bedroom to a FIFA superstar.

He broke into the FIFA esports scene out of nowhere, qualifying for the FIFA Ultimate Team Championships through just playing online. He smashed the competition and won the Playstation 4 final, narrowly losing to Vitality’s Corentin ‘Rocky’ Chevrey but still earned himself a life-changing £60k prize fee.

It was that underdog performance that has seen him nominated Esports Rookie of the Year for the Esports Industry Awards. And that is also why Unilad have snapped up the exciting FIFA prospect.

Unilad are a British internet media company and will now sponsor Shellz at every FIFA event he attends. He joins Spencer ‘Gorilla’ Ealing in Unilad’s ranks.

Earlier this year, Gorilla won the biggest FIFA competition of all time, the FIFA Interactive World Cup. He received a staggering £156k for that win and will be a fantastic person Shellz can learn from.

With the FIFA 18 launch just a matter of days away, Shellz will be preparing himself to grind and practise the game for hours on end so that he can try and top his phenomenal first year in esports.
