Fifi Box sparks rumours she’s set to star on new season of I’m A Celebrity

Fifi Box could be headed for the jungles of South Africa for the next season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The 45-year-old Fox FM star teased she may be joining the cast of Channel 10’s  reality hit during the Fifi, Fev and Nick breakfast show on Tuesday.

The former Neighbours star revealed she would be unavailable to do her regular radio gig for three weeks from next week because she was heading overseas on an unspecified ‘work’ trip.

Fifi made the comments during an on air studio chat with I’m a Celebrity co-hosts Dr. Chris Brown and Julia Morris, who are also co-incidentally heading overseas next week to start work on their show.

Meanwhile, former I’m a Celebrity champ Brendan Fevola, who won the show in 2016, sounded suspicious of Fifi’s plans.

He then played back a recent teaser trailer for I’m a Celebrity that promised fans that a ‘radio host that loves to kiss and tell will have plenty to say in the outback and jungle’.

‘I’m working oversees next week, it’s just work,’ Fifi said, after listening to the ad. 

‘It’s just a coincidence, an amazing coincidence.’

Brendan then complained that Fifi ‘can’t go on’ the show because he ‘won it’. 

‘He’s ropable at the suggestion I might be going in,’ Fifi said, teasing Brendan.

It comes after Fifi stunned her fans last year when she lost weight by adopting a strict exercise routine and changing her diet.

Fifi has openly discussed her past dieting struggles and revealed she lost 15 kilograms after having her first child in 2013.

The radio star said she was a self-confessed sugar addict and a ‘yo-yo dieter’ but having children meant she needed to get serious about her health.

In 2020, the Hit Network presenter revealed how she had been cruelly fat shamed after giving birth in 2019.
