Firefighters rescue ‘mischievous’ labrador puppy after getting her head stuck in a wall and ‘feeling very sorry for herself’

A ‘mischievous’ four-month-old puppy was successfully rescued by firefighters after getting its head stuck in the extractor vent of a tumble dryer.
The labrador, named Teale, became wedged after sticking her head in a wall where the dryer’s extractor vent was located.
The predicament left the puppy ‘feeling very sorry for herself’, as her body was in one room with her neck through the vent and her face staring through the other side.

The dog’s owners called emergency services to free it, with firefighters subsequently able to free the four-month-old puppy in Longdown, near Carlisle, on Tuesday.
The puppy was unharmed by the incident.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue said: ‘Carlisle East were mobilised to a property in Longtown, to reports of a young dog with its head stuck in a wall.
‘The crew were greeted by a mischievous four-month-old labrador puppy called Teale.
‘Who had found herself in a predicament by getting her head stuck in an extractor vent for a tumble dryer, and was feeling very sorry for herself.
‘Fortunately crews managed to remove Teale with minimal fuss using small tools, and she was no worse for wear for her ordeal.
‘She was very appreciative, and rewarded the crew with lots of cuddles and licks.’
Locals praised the efforts of firefighters called to the scene while poking fun at the puppy.
Sharon Young stated: ‘Aw bless her but talk about being caught in the act.’
Roz Owens added: ‘Oh Teale, you plonker. Glad you’re out safely and probably being spoiled rotten.’
