A video shows the moment a group of fishermen rescuing a struggling raccoon in the middle of a bay.
The video starts with them filming the raccoon from a distance and slowly bringing the boat up to it.
‘Look at that, in the middle of the freaking bay,’ the man filming says.
Fishermen were surprised when they stumbled upon a raccoon in the middle of a bay
They stop the boat and turn off the engine and try and get the raccoon to climb on board.
‘You wanna get on buddy? You better not scratch nobody,’ the man says. He whistles to the raccoon, trying to get it to hop onto the boat.
The animal swims around the boat a couple times before managing to clamber on board.

The men then pans out so the viewers can see how far from land the boat is.
‘When I say it’s in the middle of the bay, it’s in the middle of the bay,’ the man says.
‘Just kick back and relax buddy, we’ll get you to land,’ he says as they turn on the boat.
The raccoon climbed onto the boat and looked up at the fishermen
The video ends before they take the raccoon back to land.
The man turns the camera on himself and says: ‘The weirdest things you find out here in the bay. We’re going to do a good deed today. We still can’t find the fish.’
It is unknown exactly how the raccoon ended up in the middle of the bay or how long it was out there for.
