According to yoga star, Sjana Earp (pictured), you need to stop seeing certain foods as bad and good – and recognise that food is food
THE FOOD ISSUE
While most people know that in order to slim down and tone up, you need to eat healthily and up your protein intake, the SWEAT founders acknowledge that you’re not always going to want to eat chicken breasts and steamed broccoli:
‘I think it’s more a mental thing – not seeing certain foods as bad or horrible, but just seeing food as food, and then asking your body what it wants,’ yoga star, Sjana, told Now To Love.
Fellow fitness star, Kelsey Wells, agreed.
‘You don’t need to put that guilt on yourself. You didn’t fail. You didn’t set yourself back, you’re not like “off the wagon”. It’s OK, you know? You’re human.
‘You just go forward and choose something healthy next time.’
Fellow fitness star, Kelsey Wells (pictured with the SWEAT founders), said: ‘You don’t need to put that guilt on yourself. You didn’t fail. You didn’t set yourself back… You’re human’
All three of the trainers explained that when you feel as though you’re ‘craving’ something, what your body might in fact be craving is totally different.
‘Let’s sat you’re craving something like popcorn chicken – you could actually just be craving the protein in it, or the oils within it – it’s just your body telling you that there’s some kind of imbalance,’ Sjana said.
Try paying attention to what you’re eating and how it makes you feel – you might notice that the more nutritious food in fact leaves you feeling better.

THE BEST TRAINING PLAN
While many people embarking on a new regime think you either have to pound the treadmill for hours or spend all day lifting weights, Kayla, Sjana and Kelsey believe that’s simply not true.
In fact, the SWEAT founders actively recommend trying just 28 minutes of exercise, three times a week.
‘There is no right or wrong when it comes to exercise… For me, three times a week is enough, as well as walking, and that’s what I recommend for my clients,’ Kayla Itsines said.
When it comes to exercise, the fitness supremos said there is no wrong or right – simply by working out three times a week, you will be doing well (pictured: Kayla Itsines and Sjana Earp)
Kelsey Wells added that you need to ‘celebrate the little achievements’ – and recognise when you’ve completed an exercise, circuit or workout – set small goals (pictured: Kelsey Wells and Kayla Itsines)
They also said there is no ‘should’ when it comes to exercise – you just need to do what works for you.

Try setting small goals in order to stimulate the rewards system in your brain more frequently.
