A CrossFit fanatic and online fitness guru took a stand against societal stereotypes around workouts and body sizes by putting plus-size model Ashley Graham’s gym routine to the ultimate test, proving in the process that ‘fit and healthy looks different on everyone’.
Jordan Shalhoub, 27, is no stranger to putting herself through rigorous workouts for the sake of her fitness-focused YouTube channel, having tried out the routines of everyone from Demi Lovato to Chris Pratty. But for her latest experimental video, she wanted to do something that would help her to ’emphasize’ that being fit and healthy means different thing to different people.
But despite having tested her fair share of workouts in the past, the Los Angeles resident was totally floored by the intensity of model Ashley’s routine, admitting at the end of her 12-minute video that her body was ‘on fire’ from the rigorous exercises.

Hammer time! The 27-year-old was stunned by the intensive routine, which included a cardio portion that called for 20 tired slams, as she demonstrates above
Sizzling abs: The workout included five parts including a warm up, abs, legs, cardio, and arms
Jordan began the video for her 122,987 subscribers emphasizing that fitness and health routines manifest differently on every body type.
She noted that this is something she wants all of her followers to be aware of, no matter what their own routine or body shape.
‘I really wanted to emphasize this week that being fit and being healthy looks different and means different things for everybody. Despite whatever I’m doing for my own personal journey, I still want this to be a body positive channel,’ she announced.
Dressed in a loose tank with the message ‘wags, weights & protein shakes’ and hot pink shorts she jumped right into the Ashley’s workout routine, as divulged by her trainer Dawin Pena, one of the co-founders of New York City hotspot gym Dog Pound. The first step was a warm up of 20 squats, 20 speed skaters, and 20 burpees.
And Jordan was already burning after just the ‘light’ warm up. Then it was on to legs with 20 squats, 20 lunges, 20 side lunges, and 20 sumo squats all while holding onto weights with both hands.

To mix it up Ashley does cardio in between her targeted area workouts, and her routines consist of balls slams with 20lb weight balls and 20 tire slams, where Jordan used a hammer to spin her arm to hit the a giant tire in her gym with a massive blow.
‘Paul Bunyan over here,’ the cameraman joked as she hacked the tire.
To finish up the cardio session she completed 20 more burpees but this time with a medicine ball, which left Jordan cringing with pain.
‘More burpees. Not so happy with Ashley Graham or her trainer right now. I hate burpees,’ she shared.
‘Sounds like whining,’ the cameraman replied.
‘I am whining. I’ll admit it. I’m a grown woman whining. Because that’s what burpees do to people. And she’s making me do it with a med ball. That’s f***** up!’ she retorted.
But the worst wasn’t over. Following the cardio workout was the ab crunching stretch, which consisted of 30 plank ups, that left Jordan sprawled on the ground.

Following was 25 jackknives and 35 scissors topped with 30 second planks on each side on the body. When she collapsed onto the ground slick with sweat, Jordan’s sweet pup came up to give his mom congratulatory kisses on finishing the ab burning workout.
Last but certainly not least was the arms workout of 20 tricep extensions, 10 tricep kick backs on each side, 20 bicep curls, 20 bent over row, 20 lateral raises.
‘Everything on my body is on fire right now, I feel like I’m probably going to be sore tomorrow. I’m definitely going to give this workout a 10 out of 10, she hits all the muscle groups,’ she gushed after the sweaty workout.
‘I like this workout a lot and I definitely recommend you guys try this one. This is definitely a workout you can take to the gym with you if you’ve got dumbbells at home you can try this at home,’ she added.
‘I really liked this workout, props to Ashley Graham because that girl works hard!’ she added.
