1. Mario Badescu Rose Hips Nourishing Oil – $34

US beauty brand Mario Badescu has built a cult following around the world thanks to its selection of reasonably priced skincare products.

The brand’s $34 Rose Hips Nourishing Oil is specifically designed to combat the early signs of ageing.

It promises to brighten, tone and hydrate all skin types with nourishing ingredients including rose hip oil and vitamin C.

The face oil comes with a 4.7 star rating and glowing reviews from satisfied customers, who say the formula reduces redness and softens coarse complexions.

‘Rose hip seed oil (which is also great for acne-prone skin types) is high in beta-carotene, which is a precursor to your vitamin A and is converted when applied to the skin,’ one person wrote on Reddit.

‘Some may consider it too gentle to make a difference on its own, but if a routine is being tailored to anti-ageing in particular I would definitely consider it an important addition!’

An anonymous 26-year-old reviewer said the serum has worked wonders for her oily skin and reduced the severity of fine lines around her eyes.

‘This serum is not only affordable, it works extremely well. I have very oily skin, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in my laughter lines and the plumpness of my skin. Even high-end products did not work as well as this!’ she wrote.
