Before belting out the 1963 hit, Courtney was asked by Idol co-host Andrew G – now known as Osher Gunsberg – if he was a ‘real girl’.

‘Andrew, I’m an unreal girl,’ he instantly quipped before taking to the stage.

Fighting for a place in the live shows, the judges quickly noted that while the performance wasn’t vocally outstanding Courtney was a ‘great performer’.

‘If the drag scene was in a state of 911, I reckon you’re the chick to save it,’ Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson stated when giving the popular contestant his feedback.

‘I think you’re going to rule the drag scene, the question here is can you rule the pop scene. Have you got the balls to do that?’ he added.

‘One of my strengths is my businesswoman approach to things and I guess I subscribe to that Kylie and Madonna school where it’s not just about singing fantastically, but it’s about my package,’ Courtney replied.
