A Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Vancouver has been diverted to Manchester Airport after an emergency was declared mid-air.
Staff from the German airline said the sudden diversion could not be avoided due to an ‘unruly passenger’.

The flight departed from the Germany city of Frankfurt at 11.12am this morning and was expected to arrive in Canada by 12.35pm local time.
But shortly after departing, the pilot was forced to make the decision to diverted the aircraft due to an unruly passenger, according to staff at the airline.
The Boeing 747-430 landed at Manchester Airport at around 12.50pm. It is not clear whether passengers disembarked from the aircraft.
A spokesman for Manchester Airport told MailOnline said they did not know why it had landed.
A representative of the airline told the Express the flight has been diverted because of a technical issue.
