Florence Pugh fails to mention her film Don’t Worry Darling or Olivia Wilde in Instagram posts

She had, in her own words ‘a fleeting night in Venice’ for the world premiere of Don’t Worry Darling.

And Florence Pugh’s 12 hours in the city produced a string of headline-grabbing events, as rumours of a feud with her director Olivia Wilde were fed, not to mention her co-star Harry Styles’ ‘spit-gate’ drama.

Adding fuel to the fire, the actress failed to mention her film in a string of ‘appreciation posts’ from her time in Venice, which marked her one and only piece of promotion for the movie.

Telling: Florence Pugh failed to mention her film Don’t Worry Darling  in a string of ‘appreciation posts’ from her ‘fleeting night’ at the Venice Film Festival this week

Florence has sparsely posted about the film on her social media accounts during the promotional trail, which has only fueled rumors of friction on the set.

Since the premiere she has shared four Instagram posts, thanking everyone from her red carpet dress designer to her hair colourist, but has not mentioned the film in any of the lengthy captions.

Her first post-event message paid tribute to her premiere plus one – her beloved grandmother Pat who she explained she’d invited as her guest after hearing she ‘hadn’t bothered renewing her passport because she didn’t think she’d be doing too much travelling the older she gets.’

‘She is such an adventurer that it saddened us all that she was thinking that way.,’ Florence explained.

Reflecting on their red carpet experience, the actress continued:  ‘Next thing I know she’s dancing for all the photographers calling her name. It was truly the most special moment I have ever had on a carpet.

‘She has always been beauty and grace, but to see her so proud and so natural when hundreds of people were watching and cheering was truly remarkable.

‘Granzo Pat is remarkable. Thank you to all who made that moment special for us.’

‘Thank you to Venice Film Festival for your generosity and your kindness. #GranzoPattakesonVenice.’

Florence again swerved any mention of the film in her next post as she thanked her dress designers, gushing that ‘my fleeting night in Venice needed something unbelievably special.’

‘These moments in my life are important, they represent a time, a place, a feeling. Being invited to Venice Film Festival is an honour and includes a glamorous carpet begging to be used for extravagance. I feel very grateful for my moment in this @maisonvalentino gown.’

‘I’ve been lucky enough to wear a few @pppiccioli dresses now, it always strikes me how powerful they make you feel. I felt strong. Proud. Sexy. Glamorous…free.

Thank you for all of those who helped make it, worked on it, sewed every last sequin into their perfect pretty positions. I give you a round of applause. X’

Don’t Worry Darling has been plagued by rumours of behind the scenes drama, which was only fuelled by the events of Monday night.

A report from Page Six in late July claimed that Florence was upset that her director Olivia was hooking up with Harry Styles during the production — while still with to Jason Sudeikis — before they split in November.

The rumours intensified after Olivia suggested Florence should have a ‘wake-up call’ in a leaked video this month.

The video was leaked after Shia LaBeouf refuted Wilde’s claim that he had been fired from the project, and in the footage Wilde can be heard encouraging LaBeouf to stay signed on to the film, rather than leave it, while also hinting at some apparent tension with Pugh, 26, who she calls ‘Miss Flo.’

Florence skipped Monday’s press conference for the film, with the official line being she was tied up with filming in Budapest.

She then kept her distance from both Olivia and Harry during the tense red carpet walk, before walking out during the movie’s standing ovation.

Don’t Worry Darling is set in the 1950s, following a housewife (Pugh) whose husband (Styles) moves them into a utopian community for his new company.

She starts worrying that her husband and his company are hiding terrible secrets as her life is turned upside down.

The cast also includes Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Douglas Smith, KiKi Layne, Timothy Simons and Dita Von Teese.
