A Florida sports reporter did not hesitate to shove an unruly Vegas Golden Knights fan out of her shot after he tried to force his way on air.

CBS News Miami reporter Samantha Rivera was in Las Vegas doing a live ‘standup’ report after Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Rivera’s back was to the ice, which is to say that she did not have any fans directly behind her in the shot.

Nevertheless, a rowdy Vegas fan attempted to force his way into her report – only for Rivera to stiff arm him and shove him away.

‘Nope, nope, nope, that’s not the kind of fan you want to be,’ Rivera said as she shoved him away – never once breaking eye contact with the camera.

After the incident, Rivera posted a message addressing the fan’s outburst.

‘Listen, I don’t give a damn what team you’re rooting for – get the hell out of my face when I’m working and respect that I’m here to do my job.

‘Excited to get back home to some classy #Panthers fans for game 3!!’

Reporters and media personalities were quick to praise Rivera for her poise, professionalism, and quick thinking.

Albuquerque news anchor Stephanie Chavez said, ‘Please leave reporters alone when they’re live in the field. We are working. You go girl!’

Nashville radio reporter Kayla Anderson said, ‘Derrick Henry would approve of this stiff arm, love Sam putting them in check!’

Salt Lake City sports director Nate Dowdle tweeted, ‘Samantha Rivera is the hero we need right now. AND the hero we deserve.’

‘Great defense @JSamanthaRivera! People think they have the right to do anything they want after a victory, have some respect for people and their profession!,’ wrote content creator Drew Bogs.
