Florida drunk driver hits 17 cars while trying to park

Tony Futch, 25, of Orlando, has been arrested for drunk driving after crashing into 17 cars

A drunk driver from Florida has been arrested after he hit 17 parked cars while trying to park his own SUV.

Tony Futch, 25, of Orlando, had busted through the gates to The Gate Apartments in Davenport and smashed into multiple vehicles, police say.

Neighbors, who heard the commotion, came down to find their cars damaged. Futch had crashed his blue 2003 Chevrolet Blazer into 17 vehicles, scratching and damaging some, and wrecking others.

Witnesses told CBS News that Futch was ‘so out of it he… couldn’t even talk.’

After Futch smashed through another security gate, neighbors called the cops.

Futch, whose license had previously been revoked for a DUI in 2013, refused to provide a breath sample, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

They said he had been attempting to park at the time of the multiple collisions.

The 25-year-old was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail. Cops said he could be facing up to 17 DUI charges if they decide to treat every crash as a separate crime.

Meanwhile his neighbors have been left to deal with the damage to their cars. An estimate for repairs has not yet been calculated.

‘It was a disaster last night, a disaster,’ a neighbor said.
